• Using Grammie’s Paint:
    • Always remember to shake your paint! Separation is natural, so you want to make sure you mix the paint before using.
    • Give your paint time to dry before applying a second coat. Typically an hour should be sufficient in most cases.
    • If you get paint on your carpet or clothes, use cold water immediately and rinse to try to avoid staining.
    • Baby wipes come in handy for cleaning up spills and also can be used for the glazing process.
  • Starting your project:
    • The first step to starting your project is to clean your piece. Using Grammie’s Degreaser, you can properly remove any dirt or toxins. Older furniture pieces will typically have nicotine residue on them. You want to ensure to remove this residue, because it can eventually bleed through the paint.
  • Using Top Coats and Glazes:
    • Wait 24 hours after painting your last coat of paint before you apply any Glazes or Top Coats. The Paint dries fast, but needs time to fully cure. If you try to apply any other products before the paint has cured, it could cause damage or smudging to your Paint coverage.
